B. MONÉT

Brooklyn-based Director B. Monét is an accomplished writer/director from Silver Spring, Maryland. She holds an MFA in Film and Television from New York University and her work focuses on the exploration of identity, society, race, and culture aiming to shed light on their nuances. 

Collaborating with #MeToo founder Tarana Burke, B. Monét directed branded content for Levi’s and Girlgaze. She has worked with esteemed talents like Reese Witherspoon, Janet Jackson, Rosario Dawson, and created impactful pieces for Crate and Barrel, Estée Lauder, Uber, OkayAfrica, and Hyundai. 

B’s award-winning short film "Q.U.E.E.N." has graced the screens of numerous festivals, including the esteemed Cannes Short Film Corner, and she was also recognized at the Sundance Film Festival where she received the Horizon Award and Adrienne Shelly Foundation grant. She was the winner of Glamour and Girlgaze’s #NewView Film Competition as well as the Queen Collective, a partnership between Queen Latifah, Tribeca, and P&G for her captivating short film "Ballet After Dark", now streaming exclusively on Hulu.
